  • One of the core principles of the company is fighting in accurate knightly kit. We highly discourage the use of modern concessions such as plastic armor and wolf-rib or bar grill helmets. We prioritize high-level kit over sport optimization. Therefore, when fighting with the company members are expected to wear as much kit as possible.

  • Currently we are hoping to attend and host at least 4 major events a year, with smaller gatherings and practices planned in between. A staple of the company is the SCA’s Gulf Wars, held in Lumberton Mississippi. We also plan on holding an annual deed of arms in Texas.

However, The Sable Hammer can potentially travel anywhere in the country if the event is worthy!

  • Tabards can be bought or made by anyone as long as they are primarily maroon in color and clearly display the company's coat of arms on the front and back. Sashes and surcoats displaying the company heraldry are also acceptable. Reputable makers can be recommended by company members upon request.
